Hold your horses!!!

Well, we've landed.

Unfortunately, Time Warner failed to install the lifeblood into our home. We are leeching internet from the previous owners...it's to be disconnected today. So, August 5th is our BIG day when we get phone, cable, and internet....WOO HOO!

We had a safe and uneventful trip. The closing on the house went well. We are in and I think we love it. We are not settled or unpacked by any means. We will be sleeping in beds tonight; which is very exciting for all of us since we've been sleeping on the floor for almost 3 weeks!

We have a bird nest right outside our front window and Reily is mesmerized. She will not stop asking about them. She just stands in the big window and watches them. Too cute.

This is a picture of Reily riding "Lexi" a couple of weeks ago. She was not scared at all and practically fell asleep. She thought it was pretty cool. Maybe she's a future rodeo queen...

Well, Payton is unpacking my kitchen...hmm...I'd better get to work.

Signing off...

Well, in preparation for our move to South Carolina, our internet, cable, and phone are being switched off tomorrow. No contact with the real world!! Eeeeek! What will I do?

We are moving (temporarily) to my sweet friends house. We will be camping out there until July 28th when we close on our NEW HOME!! Yippee. There is a light at the end of this messy, dark tunnel.

See you on the other side.......

Happy 4th of July!

We started the day with storms and ended with sparklers. For the most part, we just enjoyed spending the day together.

Happy Birthday America!!

A lesson on gambling...

My dear son has basically had severe food aversions since he was a wee babe. He lived on peanut butter sandwiches and greasy chicken patties until he was 4! His palate is weak. His stomach is also. This boy cannot smell a diaper wipe without gagging.

So, when we went to Happy China buffet to celebrate the 4th (truly American), I figured I was safe wagering a Wii for an entirely consumed squid. No sweat....he's never a sucker for wagers. He won't even try sesame chicken. But, he considered it. Blaine ran out to get the camera we happened to have with us.

As I was aiming for the shot of him, his grotesque look, and the squid on the fork; he popped it in his mouth!! What?!! He chewed, gagged, chewed, and swallowed.

The Specimen

The Tentacle

The Gulp

BAM!! Dad's out $$$$!! Mom's picking up extra shifts!! It's all a blur.

But, we're sure having fun herniating ourselves with the new Wii...when Daddy lets us have a turn : )

Thanks Payton!

Kissy, Kissy, Kissy

For some reason, at dinner, I mentioned a tidbit I had heard on the radio...the average girl kisses 79 boys before marriage. (Such an appropriate topic for a table full of children) Anyways, Taylor quipped that Blaine must have kissed a lot less girls than that because he was such a geek. Of course, we all laughed. I asked what would you call a girl that didn't kiss THAT much. Taylor quickly said, "A girl that just missed out." He, he, he. Watch out for that girl!!
