Hooray for Hollywood!

Take that Sharpay! You ain't got nothin' on this girl!

For those of you who may not be in the know; this is "I Want It All" from High School Musical 3. We have owned the movie for approximately a week and a half. We have watched it approximately 9,463 times.

I know, she is much to young to be concerned with teenage romance, proms, or making it to Hollywood.

But... DANG! She's cute!

Dear Motrin,

I hate you! You take away the fever, for which I am grateful.
But, in your cruel wake, you left me with a wide awake 3 year old. At 4:00 this morning, I traded my lethargic, feverish daughter for making cinnamon toast, getting juice boxes, bottles of water, and adjusting the volume to her perfect little ears while watching Noggin as she jumped from couch to couch. This is why I hate you.
You have potential to be loved as you will always be in my life. If only you could change.

I do my little dance on the catwalk...

I love how she throws in all her tricks in the end!

She's REALLY making a statement with those pants!

Poetic Justice

This is the chocolate that Reily ate.

This is the wrapper, the sparkly wrapper, that covered the chocolate that Reily ate.

This is the bag, the entire bag, that held the wrappers, that covered the chocolate that Reily ate.

Then came the sugar high, filled with flips, that came after the bag, that held the wrappers, that covered the chocolate that Reily ate.

This is the crash that came after the flips, caused by the sugar, that came out of the bag, that held the wrappers, that covered the chocolate that Reily ate.

(Yes, she ate the WHOLE bag of kisses while I did the dishes. She NEVER ceases to amaze me.)

Snow Day?!

A couple of weeks ago we got a RARE treat for South Carolinians...SNOW!
Woo Hoo!
They even declared a "Snow Day" and cancelled school. Really? Our friends in New England will appreciate this...you're gonna want a snow day like this!

By Monday night, we were expecting it. I couldn't wait for Reily to see it in the morning. This is her first glimpse. She remembered snow from our trip to Utah in October. She also remembered that she LOVED it! She was so excited! (That's her "speechless, biting my lip" look)

Macy is only 2 years removed from New Hampshire. She also remembers snow. THIS is not snow. THIS is a cruel joke.

Snow Angel. Yes, she's still in her pajamas. We had to hurry. The snow would likely have melted if we would have stopped for breakfast or a change of clothing.

We had a few little flurries throughout the day. After a while, I couldn't keep the kids inside. The whole neighborhood was alive. It was crazy! People bundled their babies up and took them for walks in the slush. Kids were sledding, snowball fighting, and fort building.

A lesson in truly enjoying what you're given.
