A lesson on gambling...

My dear son has basically had severe food aversions since he was a wee babe. He lived on peanut butter sandwiches and greasy chicken patties until he was 4! His palate is weak. His stomach is also. This boy cannot smell a diaper wipe without gagging.

So, when we went to Happy China buffet to celebrate the 4th (truly American), I figured I was safe wagering a Wii for an entirely consumed squid. No sweat....he's never a sucker for wagers. He won't even try sesame chicken. But, he considered it. Blaine ran out to get the camera we happened to have with us.

As I was aiming for the shot of him, his grotesque look, and the squid on the fork; he popped it in his mouth!! What?!! He chewed, gagged, chewed, and swallowed.

The Specimen

The Tentacle

The Gulp

BAM!! Dad's out $$$$!! Mom's picking up extra shifts!! It's all a blur.

But, we're sure having fun herniating ourselves with the new Wii...when Daddy lets us have a turn : )

Thanks Payton!

you're the man payton! I think he was just holding out for the right prize. And a Wii is certainly the right prize.

A wii is definitely worth giving in for. It's what keeps our family going - the wii fit and the sports games. The boys actually sweat while playing, so I consider it an outdoor activity! Way to go Payton!
